Dance of Mindfulness

The influence of our favorite songs have such powerful sway over our bodies and minds! Have you noticed how the body naturally, automatically wants to move and groove to our favorite pieces of music?

The next time you listen to your favorite pieces (especially dance music), observe how the body wants to start moving. However, before you get up and dance, just feel into the subtle energy of what is wanting to move you. Focus in on the activating sensation and follow it as far and as deeply as you are able to…before moving.

There is such power in subtlety! The subtle “life force” can be felt as the activating inner prompt that shows up as a desire to move. Usually we lose the delicate connection when we just go about our day, unmindful of the finest sensations of the activating energy.

In dance, we have an opportunity to feel the sublime! It is just a matter of learning to “hold” the initial activating sensation and following it to its deepest source within. This is the clue/doorway to the experience of Bliss!
