Medicine Song – Dance of Life Force in the Body, Part III

The sensing of fine and subtle vibrations moving through the the body (and especially the spine) imparts an experience of immense sweetness…like a kind of delicious nectar moving through every cell of the body!

Again, as mentioned previously, there is no difficulty in connecting/feeling into this blissful vibration. In my experience, when first connecting deeply with the subtle vibration, I was amazed at the infinitely thin layer of separation I created through my own resistance to feeling deeply…in not considering the simple invitation to follow the trail of feelings to deeper and finer levels of subtlety.

I was also amazed at how many years (and perhaps lifetimes) I struggled in meditation to connect with what was, ironically, so very close! The “problem” was not in meditation technique or in any lack of trying, but in not truly “getting,” understanding the import of feeling into subtle sensations…which is so very accessible to anyone!

Another important aspect of feeling into subtle sensations is in noticing/acknowledging of the buildup of the energy in the areas where the sensations are tuned into. It seems that wherever the sensations are focused upon, there is an expansion of the energy…creating energetic currents moving through the body/spine.

You might then notice how the body may adjust in “micromovements.” Twisting, coiling, contorting, etc., as a way to manage the higher voltage of life force in the body.

Dance of Micromovements, Elixir of Bliss Part III

When feeling into subtlety, there are no insignificant sensations. Whatever feeling you focus upon can be used as an entryway to deeper and deeper levels of nuanced awareness. Choose any sensation…tingling in the hands or feet, giddiness in the pit of the stomach, pain in the shoulders, sensations of the incoming and outgoing breath, etc.

The idea here is to focus inwardly on the overall sensation of whatever you tune into. This can also be done with emotions: anger, sadness, loneliness, etc. With any emotion there is a corresponding sensation/vibration that can be tracked in the body.

As you focus on sensations, at some point you may find an expansion of awareness that includes an underlying vibration (like a hum or buzzing) that, in the beginning, is relaxing and somewhat hypnotic.

It is at this stage that the mind and thought processes are settling down and you may experience short periods of detached noticing, as well as periods of “no-thought.” When done with deep focus, this is by no means a “ho-hum” or boring experience, but rather one that imparts a sense of enchantment and even exaltation.

Tuning Into the Subtlety of Sensations, Part VII

IMG_0044

What is this feeling of “falling into a swoon” especially in relation to connecting with the subtlety of life force? An example of what happens when listening to and feeling  into music that touches us deeply can be useful here. I think most can relate to the experience of “losing” or “surrendering” oneself completely to music or dance. There can be a release of emotions and physical tensions, as well as a release of “thinking.”

If you “get” on a visceral level this feeling of “falling into a swoon” there is an opening here that can be explored. When listening and feeling into music that touches you deeply, notice how the body naturally “wants” to move and sway to its rhythm. However, it is during this period that, instead of getting up to dance or to move in larger ways, to gently hold back and to move in “micromovements” as a way to focus upon and build up the energies in the central core of the body.

Focus upon and feel into the very fine sensations that are activating the body to move and sway. Tune into the most subtle vibrations and experience the mind/body go into trance as it begins to feel the delicate waves and pulsations of Bliss.

The consciousness that apprehends these fine vibrations understands it to be the “Pearl of Great Price!” It is the essence of all sensations felt as One Resonance…and that essence is felt as a fine thread of vibrations connected with a most delicious and delicate sensation of sweetness, deep in the central core of what seems to be the spine.

This sweetness creates an energetic uplift of energy in the body, especially in the spine, holding the body/mind/psyche as though electrified…and the mind and thought processes are as though locked in place by the energetic current, which allows the “Observer” aspect of consciousness to experience little gaps of “no-thought,” the Divine Moment!

Tuning Into the Subtlety of Sensations, Part VI

Noticing, being mindful of the overall sensation/vibration of the body requires an attentiveness to the moment. Mindfulness of the moment creates a stoppage (even if only for a split second) of the “normal” current of the mind that flows subconsciously or unconsciously in its familiar, habitual patterns of thinking/feeling/sensing.

This “split second” of “no-thought” can be enough to create an opening for the body/mind/psyche to experience the underlying vibration, or “Hum of consciousness.” This need not be a “big wow!” kind of experience, but rather a simple awareness that comes with an acknowledgment of vibrations and sensations that are just underneath what you might normally pay attention to.

At this stage of noticing, it is helpful to understand that there are no insignificant sensations, as any vibration felt can be used as an entry point to the “next” underlying vibration.

At a certain point of noticing and following sensations, there can be a sense of falling into a swoon (an ecstatic trance), as the body/mind seems to hold and be held by the subtle vibration it has connected with. This process is like listening to music so beautiful that it “hurts,” or like being ecstatically absorbed and surrendered in dance!

Contortions of the Bliss Resonance, Part II

If you’re not feeling the depths of meditation (and of Kundalini) that you would like access to, latch onto the inner, subtle sensations that can easily be felt in the area just between the shoulder blades. Feel into and focus there on the overall sensation, even if it is the mildest of vibrations….as small as a “mustard seed.”

As you tune into that area, notice how the simple act of listening and feeling draws the mind/attention inwards, creating a relaxed inner focus. With this inner focus comes a widening of awareness, which may include the underlying overall vibration, the “Hum of Creation.”

It is important to acknowledge this inner shift of mind, acknowledging your ability to track and follow very fine subtleties of inner sensations. It is the very gentle and fine “feel good” feeling that is just beneath the overall sensation that is what you want to latch onto. This “feel good” feeling can be the subtlest of feelings, but by the very act of focusing on it, it expands…and this is when you will experience the blissful nectar-like quality of this vibration.

Surrendering to the “Contortion” of Life Force

IMG_0042

Take up, surrender to the contortion of Life Force as it moves through the body, as it holds the mind and body in blissful swoon…the squeezing contortion of the body pushes the life force up the spine to the crown area. The body/mind/psyche is then “held,” focused one-pointedly in the contortion.

Notice all that is in the moment, into the overall resonance of the body, all sensations combined that creates the underlying vibration of your Being.

Take a deep breath, exhale, relax and melt/surrender. Observe the mind, how it, like a butterfly, flits here and there.

Tune into the underlying subtle, giddy feeling that is like a delicate squeezing sensation that can be felt deeply within the spine, the central core of your experience of Being.

Following these subtle sensations is just a matter of listening and feeling deeply to the subtle vibrations, the underlying hum/reverberations that are easily felt when we allow ourselves to feel and to track the echoes/reverberations of what we feel.

As you give yourself to feel into what flows within, you may inevitably find the body moving delicately in resonance with how the flow of life force…taking up certain postures and adjusting in micro movements…like in an exquisitely slow dance.

Wave upon wave, delicate/subtle beyond words…it can only be felt/intuited with a most delicate apprehension, like enjoying the fragrance of the rose brought in by a gentle breeze!

Kundalini “Pattern Disrupt”

IMG_0041

The mind seems to always seek engagement…seeking to be occupied with desires, distractions, temptations, memories, etc. Over time it creates habits of likes and dislikes that then create the patterns of our lives that become the default day-to-day existence.

In losing ourselves to set patterns of mind that we’ve created over a lifetime, it is easy to get swept along in life guided only by habits of what is familiar. Meanwhile, there is an undercurrent of primal forces hidden deep within that remain, for the most part, dormant.

For those who consciously seek to connect with this subterranean “Hum of Creation,” they may find that their bodies can serve as an exquisitely fine “antennae” for tuning into the infinitely subtle vibrations that move through the energetic “field” of their experience.

The body that is tuned to this sublime resonance is “held” as though electrified (or contorted) by the current that flows through the energetic field.

This contortion of the body/mind/psyche serves as a “pattern disrupt” for the mind normally caught in habitual patterns of thinking. The individual is offered a vastly wider perspective and experience of subtle vibrations.
