Dance of Micromovements, Elixir of Bliss Part II

It is easy enough to feel, while sitting still, the underlying vibration of the body. At the same time, because this vibration is so familiar to us, we may not be inclined to explore deeper into the subtlety that is just below the surface…because of the mind’s natural inclination to remain in the default habitual patterns of what it has grown used to.

The mind is easily hemmed in by the day-to-day, familiar patterns and so it may put up resistance to, or not consider the possibilities of exploring the subtle sensations that can be apprehended as delicate waves and eddies of fine vibrations…like a deep underground hum.

Feel deeply into the core of the overall sensation felt in the body. Breathe into it, observe, be with that very fine, subtle “humming” sensation. You may find that the body naturally adjusts in fine micromovements as a way for it to accommodate the flow of what moves through…and what moves through is felt as a coiling, pulsating radiation, so very subtle and sometimes “thread-like.”

What is meant here is that when connecting, feeling into subtle sensations, the body has a way of “squeezing” the energy, whether in the spine or elsewhere. This squeezing, combined with the feelings of coiling energies creates the experience of exquisitely fine/thin strands of energies that feel “thread-like”…and like a fly-fisherman/woman casting his/her lines out into the lake/river, these vibratory strands can be cast far out into the wide energetic space surrounding the body!

Tuning Into the Subtlety of Sensations, Part VII

IMG_0044

What is this feeling of “falling into a swoon” especially in relation to connecting with the subtlety of life force? An example of what happens when listening to and feeling  into music that touches us deeply can be useful here. I think most can relate to the experience of “losing” or “surrendering” oneself completely to music or dance. There can be a release of emotions and physical tensions, as well as a release of “thinking.”

If you “get” on a visceral level this feeling of “falling into a swoon” there is an opening here that can be explored. When listening and feeling into music that touches you deeply, notice how the body naturally “wants” to move and sway to its rhythm. However, it is during this period that, instead of getting up to dance or to move in larger ways, to gently hold back and to move in “micromovements” as a way to focus upon and build up the energies in the central core of the body.

Focus upon and feel into the very fine sensations that are activating the body to move and sway. Tune into the most subtle vibrations and experience the mind/body go into trance as it begins to feel the delicate waves and pulsations of Bliss.

The consciousness that apprehends these fine vibrations understands it to be the “Pearl of Great Price!” It is the essence of all sensations felt as One Resonance…and that essence is felt as a fine thread of vibrations connected with a most delicious and delicate sensation of sweetness, deep in the central core of what seems to be the spine.

This sweetness creates an energetic uplift of energy in the body, especially in the spine, holding the body/mind/psyche as though electrified…and the mind and thought processes are as though locked in place by the energetic current, which allows the “Observer” aspect of consciousness to experience little gaps of “no-thought,” the Divine Moment!

Tuning Into the Subtlety of Sensations, Part VI

Noticing, being mindful of the overall sensation/vibration of the body requires an attentiveness to the moment. Mindfulness of the moment creates a stoppage (even if only for a split second) of the “normal” current of the mind that flows subconsciously or unconsciously in its familiar, habitual patterns of thinking/feeling/sensing.

This “split second” of “no-thought” can be enough to create an opening for the body/mind/psyche to experience the underlying vibration, or “Hum of consciousness.” This need not be a “big wow!” kind of experience, but rather a simple awareness that comes with an acknowledgment of vibrations and sensations that are just underneath what you might normally pay attention to.

At this stage of noticing, it is helpful to understand that there are no insignificant sensations, as any vibration felt can be used as an entry point to the “next” underlying vibration.

At a certain point of noticing and following sensations, there can be a sense of falling into a swoon (an ecstatic trance), as the body/mind seems to hold and be held by the subtle vibration it has connected with. This process is like listening to music so beautiful that it “hurts,” or like being ecstatically absorbed and surrendered in dance!

Dance of Well Being

IMG_0020

Repetitive movement, such as while walking, dancing, or running, creates an ongoing flow of sensations that can be felt even when the movement has been stopped. The vibrations continue on, reverberating, echoing through the body and can be tracked or sensed to extremely subtle depths.

Similarly, the sensations of laughter, giggles and smiles can be felt to finer and finer levels of subtlety.

What can you do with this sensitivity? Well, explore for yourself. The waves of sensations that play upon the sheerest fabric of your awareness is a most luxurious, ecstatic experience!

But do not take my word for it. Again, explore for yourself. Follow sensations to the finest balance point of awareness. Follow the prompts of the sensations as they move wave-like and pulse-like through the body in finer and finer vibrations.

As you continue to listen and to feel deeper and deeper into sensation, surrender happens when you allow the body to move/dance, first in micro-movements…and then in contortions that result from the buildup of subtle ecstatic energies that flow in the cavernous depths just below all vibrations.

For example, when listening to music that activates within you the desire to dance, as you feel into the sensations moving through the body, the feelings can be a kind of twisting, spiraling, contorting of the body that seems to squeeze the feel good juices as though through every cell of the body.

The feeling this imparts is one of extreme well being, pleasure, of being in love, of being inspired to play, dance, draw, sing…to just enjoy being, to enjoy the simple act of breathing!

Music to Activate the Bliss Centers in the Spine

IMG_0186

Do you ever listen to certain songs that you cannot get enough of, playing them over and over again? It is like the body, mind, spirit, emotions, etc. seem to receive a kind of sustenance from them.

I’m remembering a particularly intense time in my life when I played Sarah Brightman’s “Time to Say Goodbye” over and over on my cd player. It was one of those CDs that I just could not get enough of. And it just so happened that, during that time, I was saying goodbye, leaving the monastic community that I had belonged to for 19 years.

One day, months later, it seemed that I had had my fill. I put the CD down and have not played it since. It was as though my body, mind and psyche craved the particular melodies, lyrics and overall resonance of the songs…until I had my fill.

Lately, I’ve been attracted to non-English speaking songs and artists, because the sounds of different languages seem to “tickle” or “activate” different cravings/desires/inspiration/pleasure centers of my mind and brain.

For the last couple of months, I’ve been listening to Sara Tavares, especially her “Ess Amor” and “muna Xeia.” Those songs, for me fall into the category of “so beautiful that they hurt.” I do not understand the meaning of the lyrics, but I like/crave certain sounds and overtones of what she sings.

When I listen to music, I feel for the sounds and resonances that vibrate/activate the pleasurable “feel good” centers in the spine. In this way, certain music has been hugely beneficial in maintaining well-being and for deepening sensitivity to inspiration and the bliss resonance.

We Are Meant to Dance, Part 6

IMG_0184.jpg

We are meant to dance! Whether on the dance floor, while sitting in a coffee shop, while standing in line at the bank, while shopping at the market…with or without music! The body is meant to move, groove and luxuriate in the undercurrents of subtle vibrations that can be felt beneath the overall resonance of what we feel from moment to moment.

This doesn’t mean you would ever see me dancing at the coffee shop or while I’m standing in line at the market. For me, dancing includes a most pleasurable practice of “micro-movements,” following subtle bliss sensations that can be “embraced” and danced with on the “dance floor” of the spine.

What does this look like? It may not be noticeable to anyone who does not know what to look for. What is happening in the body through “micro-movements?” It can be likened to isotonic movements, except slower. These movements are not driven by mental intent or preconceived forms or exercise. They are informed by the inner experience of the bliss sensation as it moves wave-like and pulse-like through the body.

We’ve grown accustomed to experiencing a certain spectrum of feelings/sensations… and they’ve become familiar, normal, no big shakes. And we recognize this state of being as our day-to-day life, perhaps fairly stable, balanced, maybe even happy…interspersed with periods of sadness, grief, etc.

And then something happens. Some event, a beautiful sunset, a song, or walk in the forest…switches on the awareness of extremely fine vibrations… and most importantly that they are attuned to a bliss response in the body.

It was quite surprising to experience the bliss resonance in my body! More surprising was how close it always was, in the sense that I can remember the “echoes” of its presence throughout my life. It is like smoothly flowing oil moving through the body.

I seek to connect with those who, like me, feel they have been “charged” to hold and ground the Bliss Resonance for Mother Earth. Please contact me if you’d like to experience the ecstatic current in the spine. It is a free session that will be of great benefit for you whether we decide to work together or not. Lessons from the Flu

IMG_0363

I noticed something when I had the flu last week. My enjoyment of things I normally love doing seems to get turned off, like a dimmer switch being turned down. Listening to my favorite music, drawing, dancing, etc. gets switched off…and the body/mind just wants to sleep, rest. It is like my connection with beauty, with inspiration gets turned off.

The “feel good” feeling, the Bliss Response in the body can still be tuned into I noticed, but the “gravitational pull” of the body’s need for sleep and rest just seemed too strong. This may sound obvious, but it seems that a certain baseline of health or energy level must exist in order to be in tune with the Bliss Response in the body.

When engaged in any kind of creative work (painting, drawing, writing, playing music, listening to music, dancing, etc.), if you pay attention to the sensations of your body, you may find a kind of pleasant or even pleasurable vibration moving through the body. The subtlety of sensations becomes then a playground for creative inspiration.

When well, the body has an amazing capacity for creative inspiration, for tuning into exquisitely fine sensations, delighting on the balance point of the body’s resonance with Bliss.

After having gone through a bout with the flu, the body, having been purged of accumulated toxins, along with getting plenty of rest, the rising energy level seems to be accompanied by a return of the “feel good” juice, the Bliss Response… the natural state of well being…a clearness of body and mind that supports the state of wonderment and enjoyment of the world!

The body is an amazing, infinitely creative, Bliss generating machine! It was not meant to be an instrument of torture! In my “Ecstatic YOU!” mentorship program, I share some of the ways in which I’ve connected with the conscious and creative currents (Kundalini) that surrounds and permeates the body.

My primary approach is through the use of sound and their overtones. All that is required is an open heart and deep feeling. If you are interested in connecting with, switching on these subtle currents in your body, please contact me for a free consultation to see if we would be a good fit to work together!
